Have used it with a bobber without a splitshot because it'll sink slower. Have not tried it without a bobber and splitshot, but will next occasion I fish.

no no no....ur misunderstood these are best used just tied on with nothing else with light tackle such as ultalight rod and reel and 2 to 6 lb line

I use them bare, u don't need anything else. the fish like the slow falling action of the bait.

I dont use a bobber, split shot would be the best bet here. I have also switched the hook out for a jig head

I've always fished it weightless, or with as tiny a split shot I can get away with for fast moving water- no float.
