Dont have an answer on weight, but I have one (7' MH moderate fast) and I love it. It loads up great. Rated for 1/4-1oz, but I only go up to 3/4 oz baits on it. I have casted a few 1oz baits with it and I had to be pretty careful with how I "slung" them out there. You wont be disappointed in the rod. I had a chronarch 100B on it and it feels great, may try a chronarch 100D5 with it this spring. You wont regret it if you get one. good luck

A:
7' is a bit long for jerkbaits for me. It really depends on how much stamina you have though. If you can handle a 7' as well as a 6' for "jerking", it would probably be ok. But for me I can get much better action out of a shorter rod for jerkbait fishing.

A:
It works well for buzzbaits and larger poppers but it pulls the small baits too far. I have used it for jerkbaits but it is not my first choice - again it is too stiff for my taste. However, if you are fishing in tight and need accuracy over perfect technique, this is the rod.
