A:
You know when the fish bites and you cannot use them from shore. They are used to bring the line away from the boat... especially when walleye fishing in clear water.

A:
they a primarly used to get your lures away from the boat so the fish are not spooked by your boat yes the hook is set due to fact you are trolling with them. They do make models you can use from land but I dont think you can you use the same ones for both

A:
when you have a fish on the board will fall back and your rod load up. If want and easier way buy the tattle tail flags and you can set them so if the flag goes up you have a fish or if the flag goes down you have fish.

A:
The board will drift back or if its a biger fish it will pull the board back fast and you know you have a fish on you will see it go back. the other thing is watch your fishing rod if it starts to what i call vibrate check the rod right away for a fish.

A:
The board simply drags back. Sometimes it will be very subtle and sometimes it will go back quickly and even break the release. If the drag is loose and the fish heavy enough, it will take line, so have the cllicker on.

Instructions are on the back of the packaging... you won't find a better board on the market, nor one easier to use. You can set this board to trip on command or hold, which ever you prefer. The packaging gives more detailed instructions as well as a diagram... its very easy.
1. While at trolling speed, let out your lure to desired distance from boat.
2. Attach clip to line.
3. Pull rear pin, insert line, and release pin.
