I've caught a lot of bass on this lure a few years back but haven't used them since. Not that I wouldn't use them. They have great action and you can feel the vibration in the water and every bite as well.
I noticed comments about the fact there are three holes you can move your tie to. How does moving to each hole affect the movement of the lure? Does it affect depth? Help!
It affects the action of the lure. In the most forward hole the action will be tighter than the rear hole. It will also affect the action of the lure when being pumped upward while jigging up and down. To affect the depth while casting and retrieving you should count the lure down to the desired depth before beginning your retrieve. The lure will fall at a rate of about one foot per second.
i live here in new jersey,,i recently just started fishing fresh water again,,how do i know which color lure to use,,or is it a trial and error process,,i mean there are alot of colors to chose from...
Hi Hurricane i had same thought here in Australia when purchasing lazer blade for our aussie bass and saltwater species . I went with gold colour witch proved a good choice.
What are your baitfish present? That is the question. You really can't go wrong with either silver or gold in the combinations. I personally think the Gold/Chartreuse combination is a great one, but I have been alongside another guy throwing Silver/Black and we had equal hookups. I think the Chartreuse is great for poor water conditions.
I have only used the nickel/black, gold, and nickel, however i can tell you this bait catches fish. I have had the most luck on the nickel and the nickel/black. I have had some fish on the gold but not as many. You never know what you will catch. I would use the nickel or nickel/black and see what they does for you. I fish this bait about 1' off the bottom so it will get caught in the bottom so watch out! Good luck!
