The last time I looked in the master catalog, the replacement black lights were about 8 dollars each. You would be better serve to buy an additional unit when they have them on sale for 19.95 and you get a lot of bulbs for replacement. I probably own 10 o fthe NS III lights for use on my pontoon boat plus extras for parts replacement.

How far does this light shine? I want to be able to see the bank so I know whether or not I'm casting into weeds etc.

Won't be near that bright. Most black lights aren't designed to see the bank.

Under normal conditions, I can see the bank at 75-100 feet with this light useing the double bulbs. Full moon or near conditions negate the power of the black light. One tip, when the batteries start to drain, switch back to the single black setting and it will be brighter than the double lights.

Mine lights the fishing line up about 20 foot from the boat. It doesn't seem to light the bank up but about ten feet away.

Don't know of any black light that produces the amount of light you want. In concern to these lights, I get about 20 feet of illumination.

A:
that really depend on the night itself. is it over cast,or is the moon new or full.are you fishing on a lake that has a lot of house lights around. if it is a dark night and no houses around you can easily see the bank 45 to 50 feet away.. with more than one blacklight you could probably see it from farther and its bright enough to let you see what the bank looks like before you cast.
