I bought a cheapo 770 in the .270. I need a couple extra clips. You have the Remington 710 in 30-06. Are the 770 (replaced the 710) the same as the 710 clips? Am I correct in assuming the 30-06 clip will also work for the .270?

A:
Remington made a huge mistake developing 1 clip that handles 5 or 6 different rounds. Great cost savings for them, and may work fine in bolt action rifles, but I can tell you from first hand experience NEVER by a semiauto from them and expect anything more than single action or single shot performance!
Jam's misfeeds and misfires are the rule, rather than the exception. I bought a carbine in .308 brand new for over $600 and gave it away a year later for $200 because of the constant problems, and 1 factory return where Remington supposedly "fixed" the problem. Engineering Disaster!
