Both, it makes cleaning a reel much easier if you spray it on the reel before you go fishing. And as far as line goes, I spray the line on all of my reels because it retards line memory "makes it limper" and if you do get a backlash, it seems easier to pick out. I keep a bottle/can on hand all the time. My advice is to buy a can/bottle and see for yourself, You'll be glad you did.

I love using Reel Magic on my line and reels. It's a great "NON-STICKY" lubricant. Just spray & go!

Tight lines my friend!

It seems to work great on mine. I love flouro and sometimes it wants to retain a memory on one of my spinning reels, but some of this seems to improve the situation.

You can wipe your boat down with this after you pull it out of the water just spray a little on the rag, the bottle even says you can use it on the boat. It doesnt hurt the finish or gel coat. I spayed some in one spot it has been there for one week now in the sun and 100 degree weather and has done nothing to the boat, finish,or gel coat.

Hey, unless you expect a reel magic scientist to answer your question, you're not gonna know the exact main ingrediants of reel magic. What i can tell you though, is that it doesnt stain, spot, fade, or deteriorate anything on my boat, and/or tackle. I use this stuff on everything. I use it to lubricate my line and reels, as well as rod guides. You can use it for cleaning your boat, electronics screens ON your boat, and a handfull of other things. All this basically is is a oderless, residue free, and colorless lubricant or oil. Very well worth the money.
