I'm not rod builder but I've done this a few times. The Fuji kit has several sizes for the different size rod tips. If your broken tip is wrapped with thread and epoxied, I would take a fine tooth hacksaw blade or a fine tooth coping saw, and carefully cut the tip off at the end of the threads. lightly sand with fine paper to "scuff" the finish at the tip. Then glue a new Fuji tip that fits correctly. Read the directions a couple times before you start. You can move the tip back and forth on the rod tip when you first glue it to spread the glue evenly. You can reheat the tip to keep it loose so you can adjust it as well. I just use a lighter to heat the glue and/or tip. I've done this several times and it works great. If your broken tip is just glued on with no thread, you might be able to heat the tip shank with a lighter/flame, that could loosen the glue and you could then pull the tip off. Otherwise, just cut it off.
