Yes it will. The nice thing about this product is that the replacement tips that it has in the package are of different diameters. There for allowing you to find the one that properly fits the section of rod that was broken.

Yes, use a hack saw to cut the broke tip cleanly. sand the tip a little to make sure its smooth and for good adhesion. select the right sized tip to fit the rod tip as snug as possible. follow directions on the package.

You have the larger size?

Details:
I bought this kit previously, but the largest tip is too small (end of rod's been broken off). I've seen kits with larger sizes....do you have them?

order from their single size tips with the ones you have as a go by for the sizing. If you end up with extras you might need them someday .

I just need a replacement grommet, but I think you have to purchase a replacement tip with grommet. How do you get the old tip off without damaging the tip of the pole?

A:
I took a heat gun (any focused heat source should work) to mine and it slipped right off with some pliers (gently of course).

A:
Heat the old tip with the lighter as not to melt or damage the rod. Heat until existing glue releases the rod tip.

I'm not rod builder but I've done this a few times. The Fuji kit has several sizes for the different size rod tips. If your broken tip is wrapped with thread and epoxied, I would take a fine tooth hacksaw blade or a fine tooth coping saw, and carefully cut the tip off at the end of the threads. lightly sand with fine paper to "scuff" the finish at the tip. Then glue a new Fuji tip that fits correctly. Read the directions a couple times before you start. You can move the tip back and forth on the rod tip when you first glue it to spread the glue evenly. You can reheat the tip to keep it loose so you can adjust it as well. I just use a lighter to heat the glue and/or tip. I've done this several times and it works great. If your broken tip is just glued on with no thread, you might be able to heat the tip shank with a lighter/flame, that could loosen the glue and you could then pull the tip off. Otherwise, just cut it off.
