They will catch both fish. They are somewhat heavy and can cast a long way.

You can't make a bad choice here, just get several in 2-3 colors and you'll be good to go.

Not realy a go to bait in my book. This is an old lure. Newer and more advanced lures would be in my arsenal.

If that's what they want, yes. Buy several because they get hung easily in brush...unless you remove two of the three treble hooks or BETTER YET, replace the trebble hook with a slightly larger single hook. the single hook is also less likely to get thrown by a jumping fish AND much easier/quicker to remove from the fish than is a trebble.

No real good answer for this unless you know the typical size bait fish the bass are feeding on at the time..get in several sizes in 2-3 colors.

size meaning weight? well the weight doesnt matter. weight depends on what your rod/reel can handle. i threw 1/2oz do gain casting distance. really depends on your set up

Throw it out and reel it in or yo-yo it back to the boat. I wouldn't get this for crappie or bluegill. Beetle spin for bluegill and small curly-tail jigs for crappie.

I don't see why not if the fish are deep and suspended but would need to be in the smallest size offered...suggest sticking to jigs unless experimenting is your idea of a good way to spend your time.

Make the cast and then experiment with the sink time. Some western lakes are hundreds of feet down so it might be some time. Then lift and reel back stopping from time to time to let the bait flutter back a few feet.
