I have a 1984 bass tracker and it has two livewells but they just don't fit the bigger 6 to 7 pound largemouth that we catch. Would this aerator keep the bass alive in a bigger cooler that does fit the fish?

theres no reason why it wouldn't. just make sure you take into consideration the water temp and clarity. colder the water the better it holds oxigen

this is not a floating aerator. but it is a great portable one. the good thing is ,you can lower it (depending on length of hose and wire) into the deeper cooler water off the surface. great to pump water in and out. i've used this pump in my smaller jon boat with a cooler and it worked great.

A:
No. It does work very well and I was surprised at how long it kept my minnows alive. It's not very large, but it definitely does the job better than most bait buckets.

Any 12 Volt battery would do, but I would suggest a 12 volt marine all-purpose battery to get the most run time out of this product.
