1 piece is in each package. If you need anything wider or longer, you can order the standard carpet in whatever length you need, and cut it to fit your desired width. Cuts easily with scissors or a sharp utility knife. For best results cutting, cut from the back & on a firm surface, such as a piece of plywood or lumber. Hope this helps!
This is 16 oz. carpet, the same as the standard carpet. If you want the heavier weights, you can order the length you need in either the 6' or 8' widths and rip them down yourself, but this should be good for just about any application.
On my trailer I used stainless steel staples! Worked great. Over 5 year old and have not come use yet! I could not use the bunk carpet they have here because it would not fit on my 2x6 bunks. I had to have 16in wide carpet to go around the bunk!
Use outdoor carpet adhesive and staple the carpet to the bunk boards. Please be aware that the width of the padding is too narrow for most bunk boards.
The best way to attach this would be to glue it on, that way there are no metal surfaces to potentially scratch your boat. You can staple on the backside, or use roofing nails, but as the wood gets wet & then dries each time the boat goes into the water, they will slowly work their way back out of the wood. Hope this helps!
It comes in 12 foot lengths, and either 8 inch or 12 inch widths. Salt water should not affect the carpet, but I'm more familiar with fresh water. The carpet is rot resistant and is resistant to deterioration from oil & gas spills, so I would think that salt water is not going to have much impact on it. Good luck!
