Technology makes the Packus Ridge™ Omni-Tech™ waterproof hiking boot a superior choice for serious hikers. The suede leather and air mesh upper features Columbia's special Omni-Tech® waterproofing technology. This microporous membrane blocks outside water from seeping through to your foot, but breathes to allow perspiration from your foot to escape to keep your foot comfortably dry for the entire trek. All day comfort is provided by the Contour Comfort™ 1D footbed that interacts with the natural contours of your foot. Proper torsional rigidity and support are provided by a molded nylon shank and internal EVA midsole. The gusseted tongue and durable metal hooks on the upper eyestay help ensure a continued fit. And don’t worry about odor after the long distance hike. Both the internal lining and footbed of the Packus Ridge feature the Omni-Fresh™ anti-microbial and anti-odor treatment which uses Columbia's AgION technology. This special treatment uses silver ions to combat a broad range of bacteria, keeping the footbed clean and neutralizing odor. Columbia finishes this great hiking boot with its Omni-Grip green outsole, a hiking outsole made of a non-marking firm-to-medium rubber compound with increased abrasion resistance for longer wear.
