When you mark points can you then download them to your pc to create a map or onto google earth as way points?

I dont believe that Google Earth is an option but you can use the TopoUSA software that came with the unit to save/make waypoints and even download your tracks.

yes you can also mark them on your pc and transfer them to your system as well as pre plan and mark trails on your pc then transfer those over.
very user friendly you can pull it out of the box and use it like a pro in all of 5 minutes
