Tip: Fasten the LIVETARGET Bluegill directly to the main fishing line or leader material using a clinch or loop knot. Do NOT use a terminal snap, as this may impede the swimming action.

yes they do get the koppers bluegill greatest lure ive used and even better they come with a metallic bluegill but yu have to buy that in the actual store. trust me get it the action is great. sometimes u swear its a real fish. well i do. live bait wise i use crawfish and nightcrawlers. small crawfish the best put the hook through the tail so the swimming action looks more natural because they swim backwards

Tie it straight to the line. Don't use a snap swivel on crankbaits! Good luck.

I used a clip, but make sure that the clip is dead centered. I've also tied directly to the split-ring on the lure. You might have to make a minor adjustment to the lure eye if it tracks left or right. Bend the eye opposite the direction that it is tracking.

A:
This is a very good crank bait ,it will match the forage in your pond but if there is a lot of grass you can expect to get some on it from time to time. Just learn to clean it off while you are cranking it and the erratic action will also cause a strike.

I like the realism of this bait also. I suspect if your pond has bluegill in it the bass will be totally fooled by the Kopper. I have only used this bait once. A huge snapping turtle inhaled it as it swam by. Needless to say my 12lb line was no match for a 30lb turtle. I use a medium rod (spinning or casting) and line from 8 to 12lbs. I have a small and large bluegill in my box now just waiting for spring. Good luck.

When it hits bottom and you stop cranking, does it rise quickly like a Bandit crank, or more slowly like a Spro Little John?
