I think there is only one model, so if it has a rattle, there probably isn't one without the rattle.

the other rapala dt bills are fine to me and this lure has a thicker lip than the original dt's because it's ment to bump on rocks,, wood and other cover.

By far I would say yes - the lip is thicker & stronger, and in my opinion has a better baitfish profile that the regular DT series.
