I've used it about 10 times already and has not slipped off once. I have caught it on branches and had it flip up on me, but stayed on my hat.

A:
I've been using one on the brim of a standard ball cap for two fishing seasons and it holds very snug. I frequently turn the light on and off during night fishing to re-tie or net a fish and it does not slip around doing that. BTW the tilt feature is great to place the beam right on your hands when tying on a lure at night.
