This is a huge bag on it's own and comes with a fleece liner I have trouble picturing it zipped with another bag as it is very large on its own.

I sure you could. This bag already is the largest bag I have been in. I can roll over and sleep on my stomach with no problem. I am 5/9 and 200 pounds. The bag goes way over my head.
