if not try squeezing the hooks together

I watched a demo of these on a different website with Chris Lane telling people to just squeeze the hook ends together and it will cradle any toad of similar size to the Cane Toad.

No! You can either squeeze the hooks closer together or you can use the gambler Cane Toad that they are designed for.
