A:
This depends on presentation and the size bass that you are looking for. For most presentations a reel that can handle 10-12 pound test line (monofilament) would be good for all around applications.

A:
mega cast 30 or 40. i like the 40 because it handles 12 lb test a little better however some have a problem with it being a little bulky. i bought my son the 30 model and it seems to cast about as good. if you have long fingers, use the 40,if you have smaller hands then use the 30. both of our reels ,30 and 40 were strung with 12 lb test and i couldnt tell a lot of difference between the two but i wouldnt go smaller for any bass.

A:
any one with a 12 to 14 pound max.

these reels come in wide range of sizes as do bass. so depending on the species of bass you are after should be the deciding factor in the reel you purchase.

Are you asking which model out of the Bass Pro Shops reels listed would catch Bass? You can actually catch Bass on any of the models.

Remember, the larger the model, the heavier it will be. If you want to fish with the smaller reel, it will be lighter.

It all comes down to personal preference. (smaller/lighter vs. larger/heavier).

depending on budget, I like the Saros 2500f by Shimano, have never had any issues with this reel, used very heavy both in tourneys and fun fishing, Smaller budget,, i think the bass pro extreme is a good reel for the buck but a little heavy.

A:
The manufacturer's recommended range for this particular model is between 6lb and 12lb monofilament line.

You can go heavier or lighter if you want but the reel may not function optimally.

Also, if you are using braided line, remember that braid is much thinner in diameter compared to monofilament or flourocarbon, for the same pound test. For example, 50lb test braided line is the diameter of 12lb test monofilament line.

Mine says 10 lb, 120 yards, spend more though, get a bps extreme, much better reel for the buck, but a little heavy.
