It depends if the pier is real close to the water and you could net and hand handle the fish you might be able to. But if the pier is elevated enough that the fish would have to be reeled up out of the water some distance before netting; not a chance.
It depends on if you're referring to a high set pier or if you could reach the water for landing the fish, I wouldn't use the rod to "hoist" the weight of the fish up onto the pier, but it will definately work to catch the fish.
I would not. The 7' 6" would be the best choice paired with a 4000 size reel. I've caught Kings of the pier in Destin Fla. and this is what a lot of people used. As for line I would use line over 10 lbs.
I would have to say YES they do. The very first fish i caught on my 6'8" was a 19" catfish while tournament fishing. Handled the fight of that fish just fine. I am currently wanting another Extreme rod as I broke the tip on one this summer. I have 4 of them that's how much i believe in there ability to catch fish and the sensitivity is impeccable. I recommend them to everyone and they are not $200 like some other rods that don't have what these rods do.

Yes they do! Extreme's are generally "Bass" action rods.
I use a 6' 6" medium action exteme for drop shotting in 25 to 30 foot of water. I have never been disappointed in the rods ability to handle 5+ pound bass.
Definitely yes. Pike can put up a good fight and I had no problems landing an 8 lb. pike with this rod. The X-Fast action made for a great hookup and the rod had plenty of backbone to bring him in.
