Personal taste. You can put them in your pockets if you like to fish barehanded. If you fish Cod in the winter, or for tailgating during very cold weather you can put one in each glove.A:

Yes, this product is safe for a 12 year old. My son is 12 and he has used them while hunting when his hands get cold. They work very well.A:
