I want to use these in my canoe for duck hunting/bass fishing/etc. I want to know how wet my feet would get with no socks or super short socks when I step in the water to drag the canoe up a bank or trailer. Figure I'd get em tight.

A:
If your boot is completely submerged under water, your feet will get wet. This boot is not made to keep the water out if the top of the boot is under water.

Although it has neoprene, these don't fit like a wetsuit. Water will definitely get in.These would probably be too short. I would get the 10" version.

based on height don't think would work good for boating unless minimal depth of water...completely waterproof unless go over the top!

These boots are only 6" high.
If you go over your ankles, your feet will get wet.
Try a pair of neoprene socks to give you a better chance to stay dry.

It's a very light boot, barely feels like anything is there. Regardless it offers a solid construction and great tread which makes it a great boot in my opinion.

These are not a light weight boot. Actually a bit on the heavy side for a low cut boot.

I don't know the actual weight, but I use them for bank fishing and have walked for a couple of miles with no fatigue. They are lighter than hunting or cowboy boots. If you're going to do a lot of walking I would suggent some gel insoles.

get the 11

A:
I wear a 10 extra wide or a 101/2 med.
in most boots. I bought an 11 in these boots and they fit well with heavy wool socks, probably will not wear these this summer.

I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 10. They are a little loose, but perfect with a double layer of regular socks, or single layer of thick wool socks.

I wear an 11 shoe size and purchased a 12 in this boot. They are a bit to big but with heavy socks the fit is OK

A:
Sorry to hear. Mine came with the liner but its not removable. It's also not attached to the boot so it shifts as you take your foot out. I expect this will cause it to wear our prematurely despite the rest of the boot appearing to have a solid construction.

I would wear them in my boat. But I didn't buy them for that purpose. These are muck shoes or camp shoes. Waterproof and easy on and off when the woods are wet or muddy.

I wear them while walking across our kitchen vinyl floor and have noticed no marking. Should not be an issue in a boat.
