Details:
Is the H6 jacket warmer than the H3.1 parka?

A:
The H6 is a level 2 and the H3.1 is a level 3. So the technical answer is no. However, I have a H6 and I have been in weather in the mid 20s and I was very comfortable.

The warmth ratings are comparable on the two models. The H6 has pit vents and felt softer/quieter in the store.

Specifically the H3 and H5. I think the H4 is lighter weight. But I'm not sure how the H6 is versus the H3 and H5 (which are supposed to be equal but the H5 has better ventilation options).

The H4 Series is a bit lighter than the H3 Series. The H5 Series is just as warm as the H3 Series but offers ventilation features to help you keep cool when needed. So what works for you really depends on how well your body endures the cold and what type of hunting you are doing. This varies from person to person. Any of the three series will help you remain comfortable, from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to extreme cold temperatures.

We have hunters wearing the H3 Series from northern Canada to the Southern states who report warm results. However, if you mainly hunt during cooler weather and not necessarily when it’s bitterly cold, the H4 or H5 Pro Series may be more appropriate.

You may also consider how active you are while outdoors. The H5 Pro Series is a good choice for all types of hunters, especially for those who stay on the move. The H3 Series is a good choice for those sitting in blinds or treestands.

I have been in mid 20 degree weather with just this coat and a thin readhead endruaskin shirt and pants on and been warm, if that tells you something. I also wear the H3.1 bibs with this coat. Great combo and if you want to get warmer put on a mid weight base layer.

It does not have a removable liner, it does have a removable waist girdle to help keep you warmer in really cold weather.
