Details: 
I like the Badlands superday pack how it has the pocket for the gun scavard, but I preferr the frame of the Diablo, combine them and that is the perfect pack for me and how I hunt which is mainly on all day hunts, not many overnighters, and has lots of venting.

Yes to a certain extent... but 12 hrs plus in the rain will get any backpack wet

I would say water resistent but not waterproof. I had a little wetness after a severe downpour in NM but not after average GA rain

The manufacturer says so but I'm not quite sure how. No instructions with pack. I used a primos bow sling and it works great to position the bow where you want it. I will tell you that this pack is great! Definitely the best backpack I have ever owned. It is extremely well made, can hold a ton of weight and the air suspension system is the best invention ever! I hunted with a guy who had another brand of pack and he was continually uncomfortable and even in pain from his pack. I never even knew mine was on my back! 10 stars
