Designed to be crimped onto the hook shaft, the Bass Pro Shops XPS Hook Weights allow you to quickly customize the weight of your favorite style or brand hook. A weighted hook provides more balance and help produce a more natural swimming action, which is why weighted hooks have become the hook of choice for many swimbait anglers.

You can, but it is not all that easy. I, personally, attach these to my hook by squeezing it on, with my pliers, in two spots, and lightly, just enough to keep it where you want it. Then to remove it, I squeeze the ends of the weight with my pliers and kind of twist it off.

It always works for me, but the next step, I have not figured out, yet, and that is after removing them, the slot that the hook is to fit into is a little small, and I need to come up with a way to widen it back out as the heavier weights are pretty thick and stiff.

Yes, but it is difficult. However that is good because other pinch weights slide around on the hook a lot. These when properly applied have a tendency to stay put and other pinch weights don't. I would like to have a 3/4 oz. and a 1oz. to penetrate hydrilla which occurs periodically in the lake I fish and also during the summer when the bass go deep.
