Details: 
I have an older model ruger mini 14,made in 1976. what is the weight bullet I should use in this twist barrel?

A: 
If you have a 8 to 1 twist you can shoot all the bullets made, if you have 10 to twist I would say the lighter bullets 90grs or less.

First you need to know what the caliber is. Is it a 5.56 mm or 6.8 SPC this will tell you the twist ratio. Then you can look up in a reloading manual to find the best load
