simple mount, remove 2 pins, slide mount into position, and install 2 pins that come with mount.

This particular design is a unified system, the mount is cast as the scope and can therefore never be separated and pared with any other system that is not a 'rem870' shotgun. Usually they are separable, but assuming the low cheek weld desired on shotguns, they dispensed with the 2 piece design and moved the scope down closer to the action.

my dad and i were wondering if we could use this for both turkey and deer. were huge deer hunters and have started to get into turkey. i dont want to go out and buy a slug barrel with a scope if i can use this with buckshot. thanks

Absolutely, range is limited with turkey and deer when using shot, so magnification is not important, field of view is not restricted and drop is minimal so even though the dot is not a tight 'tactical' grade system it is still fine enough for a full choke spread of 00 buck.

Yes, simply pattern your shotgun with the buck shot load at your chosen distance. Once you're happy with your pattern, align the red dot with the center of the pattern, Verify the red dot alignment with a few shots. Do the same with your turkey loads.

No, the mossberg pins are different diameters and center to center is not the same either.

yes, the cage that wraps the receiver is recessed for right and left handed bolts for 1100 and 11-87
