My question is can this be used without the sabot? I attempted to use one the other day and it squished the first pelletand had a missire so in order to use the bullets up Id like to try one without the sabot attached.

if you use with out the sabot, you will not have the gas seal you need. you wont get accuracy because the bullet would be loose in the bore and wouldnt come in contact with the rifling. i would recommend using the sabot and try not seating the bullet so hard

No you can not. the round is to small try lubeing the bore with TC Natural Lube Bore Butter I am shooting a Remington Genesis with Pyrodex 50-grain pellets. Remington 209 Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers Hornady 250-grain Low Drag Sabots and it works just fine. just keep youre gun clean. run a patch down the bore every therd to forth shot with some Cleaner on it and it shuld be fine. hope this helps you. FYI the Remington 209 Kleanbore primers are key to a clean gun.
