Rear Cab Access?

Details:
The description says there is a second door for truck cab access. Does this mean that the rear wall or rear window of the truck can be lowered and accessed from the inside of the tent? Without water pouring into your avalanche?

A:
You can access the tent from the inside of the truck, but you would want to zip up the end because bugs and/or rain could get through. The tent fits very tight and I would venture to believe that if there was a lite rain, it probably would not leak. Of course, zipping up would prevent the bugs/rain issues. You can easily convert the Avalanche while the tent is installed. The bed of the truck, with tailgate down, fits a queen size blow up bed.The tent covers from tailgate tip, to the back glass.

The "back" of the tent does open completely and will allow of full access into the cab if the mid-gate is down. The instructions say to keep the midgate/window up and the tent closed to ensure that it is water proof. The tent does seal with elastic around the roof of the cab, however elastic on metal will only seal so good. I have used it in the rain had the cab open and the tent closed. There was no signs of water in the cab...however I suspect if the seal is bad then water could leak in very easily. I would recomend closing everything up if heavy rain is suspected.

Manufacturer describes it as a sleeve designed to allow you to run cords from the cab into the tent. Don't know how much water you will have to deal with in your vehicle when using this feature during a rain.
